Sometimes you can call them and they’ll literally pick you up at your house (or nearby) other times they can only comes two hours before/after you need and pickup is a block away in the dead of winter. But I’m lucky enough now to have support if I really need a ride and I don’t mind the walk if the weather permits. I can’t imagine how people in this city who aren’t close to work do without a car.
