The Gacha element is just for getting characters to fill your team of 3 for DMC esque combat missions where you switch between the characters instead of weapons. Hell, a lot of power gamers were quick to realize that some of the most common rolls are better than the Super rares in much less time, so there’s no reason to put any money into it to get through.
