January sucks because nothing interesting gets announced, I mean to see what trains are coming I have to wait till March, like Ohio is considering the 3C+D and Idaho is considering Boise to Salt Lake and some cities in Wisconsin are pushing for a train to Chicago. But nome of that is concrete enough to really post about.
You could spend January connecting the upcountry with Columbia then :3

Okay so I spent way to long looking at how this project would work when I couldn't find any requests from local governments for the line and there is a minor issue, there are no railroads that connect Columbia and Greenville. The green, red, and blue lines have all been colored to show current passenger routes.
Maybe a historical line exists but unless things change very fast in local and state governments no state (outside of virgina and new york) is going to pay billions of dollars to build a rail line.
What do the orange lines represent?
Those are all the freight lines currently in operation
