Welcome to Amtrak Routes that Don’t exist and have not been proposed but really should be, a series of possible state supported railways that exist entirely within a state. First off we have what I am calling the kentuckian!

I am proposing a Louisville - Shelbyville - Frankfort - Versailles - Lexington - Richmond Route. This would hit the state capital and 2 largest cities as well as 3 of the 4 largest universities in the state. Those being UofL, UK, snd EKU. This makes it an obvious and easy route given its mostly straight path.
