okay to be fair i have been SCOURING the dc/ny route for $20 tickets (even at shitty late night times) and have yet to find one that’s actually $20

wait have all these prices you've been advertising been only applicable when you book without a specific travel date in mind and are ok with brutal times like 3:15 AM?

because Amtrak, i love you, but you have to see how this would be considered less than desirable, right?

(as a long time lover of travel by train (and avid train rider in Europe and China when I lived/spent time there) i used to take the train between Boston and NYC occasionally, but it was so hard to justify when every time I booked, for comparable schedules, trains were like 6x pricier than buses ($100 vs $15)

like i dislike buses--they give me motion sickness and the toilets often suck (if there are any at all), but that's a lot of $$ difference (T_T) (T_T))

Actually no. The time deal is only available in the Northeast. Here is the times for three of the trains I mentioned that all are at times after 8 am. The only reason I used July 5th was to check trains that wouldn’t be fully booked and it was a weekday
