Chicago anon here—I love the city!! I grew up there!! but it’s not the most liveable city w/o a car, and even with the metra taking you out to suburbs some of those schedules are pure nonsense (anecdotal evidence: three-ish months ago I was in town and ended up sitting for hours at OTC because there was a 5+ hour gap between the train I would’ve needed to take to get to my location and the next b/c I’d missed the first by five minutes).
Comparatively, I’ve had far fewer lapses in service/schedules from some of these other cities (eg DC, Boston, NY) and more of my own poor time management damaging my travel ability lol
Chicago is literally killing the competition. it isn’t even funny.
