so like, is amtrak actually only unreliable because of lack of funding and bullying from the freights or are those only contributors but not the whole reason? cause like, i love trains but i’ve never ridden an amtrak that wasn’t at least half an hour late (on a good day)

The main thing keeping Amtrak from being on time is the track sharing with Freight Companies because of how their trains are so fucking long you can’t get past the 50 car long trains
@transrobotfag That is direly needed, but any effort would get blocked by Republicans because it hurts corperate profit margins and would be environmental legislation. We lost our chance when we didn’t act immediately to respond to the East Palestine Disaster
