might be a silly question, but do comments on a state dot’s survey actually like, work? bc im used to federal or even like local politics where if you write a letter or show up to town hall they don’t really take anything you say into consideration…

I don’t know about state DOTs but they definitely work on city DOTs, I mean the LA Metro had to consider an entire new route because so many people suggested it during public comment periods
