For the route thing, what about Denver to Atlanta? On a lowish budget as well
amtrak-official answered:
Funny thing, you can’t actually do that on a budget. Both of them are on long distance routes and very far apart. The cost is about 700 dollars if buying in advance. But the route would be California Zephyr to Capitol Limited to Cresent
Aw damn. What about Denver to Seattle or any major major city up north or in the central us? I'm moving to Denver from around Atlanta and I'm trying to see where I can visit from Denver using trains to either get near home or at least visit somewhere cool
Denver is at least on a really good train line, the California Zephyr connects to Chicago, The Bay Area, and Salt Lake City. It is on the expensive side, about 100 to 150 dollars but you get some good cities for that cost. you also get Reno if you gamble
@nvara-of-mortains-own I see your request and raise you the fact the the Colorado state government has given me the money to make front range rail from Cheyenne to Plueblo (and further down to trinidad) which is like what your suggesting but less
