the Chicago River is SO clean and safe and definitely not a health risk! it’s so clean! you can rent kayaks to boat around in it! it’s definitely not an ugly shade of brown! so clean! there’s even a section that smells like chocolate!

(it used to be a lot worse but it’s still. pretty bad. the chocolate factory on the river is nice tho)

I still like to think of it as a success story for the improvement of industrial rivers since the 60s, The Hudson has probably improved more, but The Chicago River has stolen my heart with the river walk in the loop
