Parallel play was invented in trains, I mean they are so nice to be on, all at once you can watch a movie while one lady reads a book, 4 drunk people discuss the nature of the universe, a boy plays a ds game, some idiot gets work finished and a 17 year kills a demon, the variety of activities in one space help to contribute to the calming atmosphere of a train, it manages to intrest and provide atmosphere without being overstimulating.
Warning: this is not a scientific claim however and is just what I feel makes trains cool
I think my favorite thing about this is that "a boy plays a ds game" and "a 17 year old kills a demon" are listed separately, implying that the 17 year old is not playing a game and that the demon is not fictional but literal.
Headcanon: amtrak-official once rode the same train as Buffy.
I've riden a lot of trains in my day, how would I remember the names of every 17 year whose killed a demon on the same train as me, I have had it happen at minimum like 7 times, maybe more
Amtrak why are there so many demons on your trains
We actually an average amount of demons for an American transit service, you should see the New York Subway
