If you don't mind me asking, what are some examples of formerly industrial waterways? I can only think of industrial waterways in terms of like the canals that are current (ha current like when water-) in the news.
I mean things like the Chicago, Cuyahoga, Duwamish and Hudson Rivers, the rivers that once were industrial sewers but have managed to recover into healthy river ecosystems over the past 50 years
