So conservatives like things being traditional and historic right, that's what they claim at least. Then they should fucking support public transit because that's what people used to move in the late 1800s and early 1900s. But then again the conservative ideology isn't actually about traditional values or anything, that's just a dogwhistle to get evangelicals to vote for them, it's actually an ideology purely based off wanting to preserve wealth and public transit doesn't do that so it is seen as unnecessary spending.
