Not to be snarky, but the engine provides power.
In this case, 480 volts AC at around 200 amps. When it is unplugged (uncoupled), most things lose power, including refrigerators, and any sales equipment without a battery.
If the fridge is repeatedly opened without power, it warms up much faster.
