What’s a good term for dense urban cities that are still not a major city or a suburb but depend on people commuting out of them. I am talking places like Emeryville and Santa Monica CA, Hoboken and Jersey City NJ, and Somerville MA. They aren’t all streetcar suburbs, some are but not all of them because a section of them developed before streetcars or outside of them.
