I do but I also just personally research into projects a lot, I like to focus on Chicago, New York and Seattle though because they are where urbanism is changing and improving. I also like to research the LA Metro because it is such a fun system. I tend to just do general Googling to get my transit news to post. I can’t really share my research methods though because it isn’t really a method.

I highly suggest visiting early-mid fall for the colors of the tree leaves + nicer weather or spring for the cherry blossoms if you're OK with walking and crowds.
Summer is hellish, similar to summer in Atlanta, with lots and lots of mosquitoes. Humid, hot, it's bad. Bring plenty of water, otherwise!
However, no matter the time of year, you can enjoy OUR TRANSIT SYSTEMS!!! Also you'll be able to visit Baltimore very easily by taking commuter rail!
Winter is also low-key good, because it's not as crowded, but it can also be harder to get around.
I would add DC in but I was only there for a few days when I was 8, also I just forgot when I was putting together the list
