Are city grids one of Chicago's few weaknesses or many strengths? Like, of they were made for bikes instead of cars or something, but still in a grid layout, would that be good?
Many strengths, blocks are great for walkability as they allow people to physically see how far they have traveled and makes people willing to walk further. Also grids provide natural traffic calming as a result of the numerous interchanges. Plus they are easy to navigate and make for fun maps
