I’m new to tumblr and only follow a few accounts and one of them is @amtrak-official and there is a mystery as to whether they are a parody account or actually an official account and I’d like give my two cents. I’ve not reached a conclusion yet but I have speculations.
My first speculation is that they could work at Amtrak but aren’t an actual social media manager. You’ll see with brand accounts on TikTok, like Duolingo and Scrub Daddy they make jokes that aren’t completely family friendly but cannot swear, @amtrak-official has swore in their account before so I doubt they are a social media manager.
My second speculation is that they either work at Amtrak or are autistic. I say this because they are very knowledgable about trains and news in the world of trains, at least in America and as is commonly known autistic people are known to like trains A LOT. This isn’t all autistic people but a lot. Now they might be autistic or they could have insider knowledge, however their intense knowledge of trains leads me to believe they work at Amtrak, not as a social media manager but in a different position and are autistic
