why build hs2? isn't HS2 only like 5 mins faster between Manchester and London and 15 mins faster between Birmingham, surely that money is better spent making the rest of the rail network better.
Because the thing that is important about HS2 is the Capacity increases so the rail network can continue to function as it is currently at Capacity
If speed was the only thing that mattered when discussing public transit, then we'd all be building hyperloop systems by now.
But we're not. Because they're dumb.
Also they are a nonexistent technology that will never worked because they were made up to try and stop CAHSR
