From what i remember from 15 years ago, kyoto’s public transport was sweet. Don’t know enough about st petersburg’s transport to comment.
Also, i think you have me confused with @amtrak-official
I haven’t been to Russia or Japan, and Don have time to do research into their public transit networks, sorry
