The ideal neighborhood in my mind has several low rise apartments, about 4 floors tall mixed in with rowhouseing and Duplexes and on the streetcorners lie little corner stores and maybe a barber shop or a record store. There is a main street with a trolley that goes down the middle of it and on said main Street is a lot of local shops and restaurants and in the center of the neighborhood lies a medium sized park. Every major street has bike lanes and the speed limits are low to keep pedestrians safe
Oh fuck, that's just a streetcar suburb with modern bike infrastructure
Also the neighborhood would be full of gay people and musicians
