Describe a city as if it's a location in a fantasy novel and I will try to guess the city
A city split by the waters that surround it, it has a thriving waterfront, a bustling port and ferries that can take you to the surrounding towns. In the center of the city, among the more normal looking towers a bright, alien looking, needle like structure pierces the sky.
Seattle!
A strange, disconnected sort of city, its mismatched architecture colliding and overlapping in fascinating ways. Glamor and squalor live next door to each other, places where people will travel thousands of miles to visit across the street from an informal encampment of those who can't even afford a home.
Yet for all this overlap, the confusing, twisting nature of the crowded roads means you always have to travel longer than you think to move from one place to the next.
Los Angeles?
