A little while ago you posted something about how the U.S. has the infrastructure to support high speed rail since all the train tracks and stuff are already laid out, they just aren't being used. I was wondering if you have any scholarly or scholarly-adjacent sources for that? Reputable news sources also count. I am taking an Environmental Justice class and I'm thinking about writing about this as the topic of my final paper, but I don't even know how to begin research on it, so I was hoping you might be able to help me find a place to start.

We have the infrastructure for conventional rail, not high speed rail. But here is the Corridor ID program, a government program to study new rail routes that used existing infrastructure
