Hello I have a question about Huey Lewis's 1985 hit song The Power of Love, specifically these lyrics:

You don't need money, don't take fame

Don't need no credit card to ride this train

Do you think it's problematic to imply that most trains require a credit card to ride?

I mean most train stations in the US no longer have ticket booths meaning you need to go online and buy a ticket and when you’re buying online your only options are a debit card and a credit card so I mean I can see where the idea emerges

If there are no booths and the ticket machines are card-only, can people buy a ticket for cash from the conductor instead?

Unfortunately no because we need to know how many people are on the train at any given time as there are limited seats and on board buying messes with that
