There hasn't been a new heavy rail metro system on the continental US since the LA Metro opened in the 80s, the most recent ones were in Honolulu and San Juan, to keep this fact accurate I propose that the next metro systems we build be in Anchorage, Juneau, Key West, suburban Long Island, and Mackinac Island

The T is an existing system and therefore a new line would not constitute a whole new system, new lines of heavy rail have opened since the 80s just not new systems
