Basically her and 2 other people are going out after one of them performed in a show and they are celebrating his first big show after the show when one of the friends gives other whose the actor an unfinished letter that the main character wrote as an apology causing him to approach the main character who upon being cornered on its details lashes out, and is now incredibly angry at her friend for stealing the letter and giving it to the actor
Honestly, if there's messy post-show drama involving theatre people, that happens at Denny's. (Cracker Barrel parking lot is another option, but if you want them dramatically running outside, I'd say Denny's)
I get that but like Dennys doesn't exist in the setting for several reasons but primarily the collapse of the US government
Maybe waffle house, i think that could survive the collapse of the US government

Brooklyn is part of NYC but Brooklyn Waffle House isn't the same as the Chain restaurant that we call waffle house
the moral here is that literally all post show drama happens in a shitty 24 hour diner.
