When the suburbs are inevitably abandoned for cities, and rural towns, I wonder what will happen to them, will they be left to nature, decaying for a few hundred years, will they be preserved as a place of fear and unnatural human error, will they be built on top of?
How will the mistakes of the present be viewed by those looking back? Will it be with contempt or sorrow, or something wholly other? Will we be seen as respectable by those in the future, as some to avoid, or to strive for?
