The one benefit of having to practically rebuild the Northeast Corridor is now when we replace all the bridges and shit and upgrade sections for HSR, we can build them to modern environmental standards and not 1890s standards
Which of course includes avoiding hazardous areas
Why would Providence, RI and Westchester county, NY both be avoided by such a new corridor though? It doesn't make sense to me.
Because the goal of this is to limit time in hell (Connecticut) as much as possible
