We have like...no idea how those are still standing. Is it the Pennsy engineering team was just THAT good?! Maybe!!!! Is it dumb luck? ALSO MAYBE!!!!!!
But it's okay!!!!!! Let's make the waiting rooms nicer instead!!! And not add any more tunnels or infrastructure!!!!
I mean they are replacing the tunnels but the estimated completion date 2035 and the repairs of the current tunnels are going to finish in 2038
I know I just wish they did the tunnels first BEFORE Moynihan. Which may be silly of me but.
That’s fair, but the tunnels take much more time than the station and from what I understand, Amtrak and the Feds want to have some visible results of the investment to get public approval for the less shiny but more needed projects
