Golf courses and parking lots are kissing, unlovable hand in unlovable hand as they ruin our cities and slowly kill us all
Now it's common knowledge that parking lots are inefficient and bad land use that drives up housing prices and needs to be reduced in our urban centers but I think we don't give enough credit to how truly bad golf courses
In the city of Louisville within the urban core lies a golf course highlighted in white
Guess how much land it takes up, 10 acres? 30 acres? 50 arces??? 75 acres?!?
WRONG, 130 acres of land
That is enough for a full fledged urban neighborhood to exist within, in fact:
It is larger than the up and coming Louisville neighborhood of Nulu or 19 full city blocks
If this doesn’t put into perspective how bad of a land use urban golf courses are, I don’t know what will
