I'm sure there'd be a workshop mod that let you do a bit of a mix-and-match, or add a few extra styles if you wanted to recreate a specific historical period like the weird mix of quaint historic buildings and ultra-modern (for the 60s) Brutalism that Europe ended up with a lot of on both sides of the Iron Curtain.
You can mix and match the 2 styles of building as much as you want, the only things different about them are what resources are used to make them and how they change the environmental design of the cities depending on which style is the most common style of architecture.
