• New York was accidentally built on the grand time nexus
• Due to this There are 17 boroughs if you want to get technical
• This is because of the 3 timelines
• There are 3 versions of each of the traditional 5 boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx)
• Jersey City exists outside the 3 timelines as the 16th borough
• The Rift is borough number 17
• The rift exists outside of time and space as a concept
• The Rift can be accessed from the 17 universal buildings within Lower Manhattan and the Greenwich Village
• New York as a result of being on the nexus is a hub of Supernatural activity
• Due to this, the fae traveled across the seas to New York in the 1820s
• As the city developed tensions rose between the fae and humans until Soho was built and the subways were devised to force the fae out of Manhattan
• Most Fae now live in the upper Hudson Valley but those that remain in NYC are hunted by NYPD
• The NYPD wants to revive Margret Thatcher in their war on the Fae
• The NYPD has an official Necromancer
