I don’t really get why people are scared of cities like yeah there’s “crime” but like that isn’t every city and cities are rather safe.

The other 3 I do get the horror of though:

Suburbs - the horror of the mundane and isolation and the maddening Everlasting sprawl and the insignificance of us as we live meaningless unfulfilling live till we die. And the manufactured appearance of it all only adds to the fear

Rural - like the horror of isolation is still there but you also got trees and depending on the vibes maybe some hatred for your existence

Unpopulated - isolation and what lives beyond us
