Polish trains are connected better, they have more stops and they run through a lot of smaller towns, where anyone can walk onto the train tracks, and theres more "interaction" between trains (sorry I forgot the proper word in english but you know what i mean). There is a reason they are slower they have to avoid accidents.

And even if their slowness was a flaw, polish train lines are way better than fucking amtrak are you kidding me. I could hop onto a train any hour of the day to get across the entire country and my city isnt even in the top five of most populated ones in poland. I can buy myself a ticket to go to Berlin, which is in another country, and be there in six hours. If I wanted to get from nyc to utah I would have to go fuck myself. Theres a SINGLE connection per day. Saying polish trains are slow so the us public transit is better is literally a laughable statement.

And dont bring up the fact that the us is bigger, its still a single country, so connecting different states is a lot easier to achieve technically than connecting Poland and Germany, or Poland and Austria.

I’m not saying it’s better than amtrak, I agree, polish trains are probably better, I was just pointing out that people never discuss the trains in Eastern Europe when talking about the European rail network, I probably could have said it better
