I don't get housing arguments since the solution is pretty much always a mix of build more housing, make people live in the vacant units and a little bit of rent control
Like everyone knows that housing is only so insanely expensive because there's a shortage of it so making people live in empty units and building new apartments is an obvious solution, so why do people oppose it.
If everyone has a home they can afford that's good, I honestly think it's weird that so many people oppose things like vacancy taxes and upzonings
