I want you to know, rn on the Norwalk, Connecticut portion of I-95 is Mega Fucked because a gas truck caught fire under a bridge (no one was hurt thank god), and that bridge needs to be demolished, so that section is closed, which is spilling traffic all throughout the region. The Connecticut DOT's official statement was that, get this, PEOPLE SHOULD USE THE METRO NORTH LINE. Which is the FIRST TIME I've ever heard them recommend TRAINS! It's great. (Metro North needs a lot of work, though, also it's hobbled by the fact once you get somewhere you can't get anywhere because no public transport!)

This is actually the best time for a highway removal to really make me stop being a Connecticut Hater
This happened in Philly last year with I-95 but the Cowards that PennDOT are, they refused to tear out the Expressway. Connecticut should not make the same mistake
