"Train to nowhere" is such a weird criticism of the California High-speed Rail given that I am like 73% sure that people live in the cities of San Jose, San Francisco and Los Angeles
Like I guess they are more complaining about it going through the central valley over starting in the Bay Area of LA but like, it is cheaper to build in rural areas due to land costs and people live in valley, like a whole 7 million of them, so it’s not really the middle of nowhere
