Can someone talk to me about architecture, I am deprived of enrichment
Was discussing architecture with my spoose recently because we took the train downtown and architecture inevitably comes up in conversation when one is in downtown Chicago. He said he read that ornamentation is starting to come back into fashion, which we agreed would be a huge improvement over the minimalist glass-and-steel style that's dominated for the last several decades and has produced a couple interesting buildings and a lot of boring ones. What's your opinion?
For me it’s Le Corbusier who does unmeasurable damage on the “ruined urban building design” scale
I get what you mean, but there is some personality behind these
I can see a visual appeal to some of these, I don’t see that with international style skyscrapers from Meis Van Der Rohe like the one Illinois center that I showed above. I feel like Le Corbusier probably did more damage but I like his buildings more
