hey tumblr user amtrak-official, i’m moving to chicago in august and i’ve never been to the city before - do you know anything about good neighborhoods to live? (also open to advice in general, not just in terms of transit)

I would recommend touring the city and seeing where you like before moving, but I would say that pretty much anywhere on the Northside is a good neighborhood extending up to Evanston, additionally Wicker Park, Bucktown, Roscoe Village and Logan Square are nice, Hyde Park is also nice but very college oriented.
