Everyone wants transit until they have to check a schedule or transfer buses or wait more than 3 minutes or ride next to a homeless person or know where they’re going or read a map or have to take any responsibility for their trip at all.
What do you MEAN there’s not a magical bus that goes exactly too and from where I want to go? Transit is awful they should run the bus every 2 minute. What’s a metro can you tell me which train goes to the airport I don’t want to read the sign that every one of them has
Yes transit doesn’t always go directly from where you are to where you want to be, but it is still incredibly important and we need it for our cities, I think Americans just assume that transit will be a magic solution to all their mobility problems when it isn’t, it just gives us an alternative that makes our lives better
