I think centaurs would have a great relationship with native populations in the U.S. please consider centaurs in western America joining various tribes and fighting alongside them for the few freedoms they do have left.

I feel like a number of centaurs did join tribes in the late 1800s both in solidarity and as a way of reconnecting with their nomadic ancestry
