Mrs. Harris, pick Beshear as VP. You want someone who is popular, has appeal in both the upper south and midwest, is well known but not overshadowing, is both progressive and non controversial and can win over moderates and people in red states, something he has proven to be capable of doing in Kentucky

As someone who lives in Kentucky, giving him the VP position is a hard sell for me. Not because I don't think he's capable - he very much would be - but because he is the one of maybe a few barriers against everything going to further shit in the state, thanks to the GOP-controlled state congress.

If we can find an adequate replacement for him, I'd be more for it, but Kentucky is unfortunately still deep-red across the board. Beshear only managed to get the votes to earn governorship by appealing to both more centrist-minded folks and left-leaning folks, especially those clustered around our urban centers. Republicans did not like that, and I guarantee they have plans to prevent it happening again once his final term ends.

I am hoping the Lt. Governor he chose is competent enough to be a decent successor to him for the remaining 3 years of his term, but I really don’t know anything about her. I wish we could wait till ‘28 or '32 to run him but there aren’t many options for a VP that would be as good as him
