This idea is actually true, social media and tech companies have helped to fund the construction of the Link in Seattle and imrun many private busses for employees in the Puget Sound. But they should be giving back to society in places outside the Puget Sound, and we should be certain to maintain control of transit stays in the hands of government
Also one of the social media companies is owned by a weird guy who also owns a car company so… there may be some competing interests there
