I find it funny that I can say anything on this website without using a source until it implies that rural people aren't perfect and actually do in fact harm the environment significantly
For such a leftist site, we really do have an obsession with the idealized right wing vision of rural America that ignores the massive environmental and social damage caused by it.
And before anyone comes at me thinking I am saying you are a bad person for living in a rural environment, I am not, I am just tired of people on this site living in a fantasy where cities pollute and are dangerous while rural America is an environmentalist paradise because any actual environmentalist will tell you, cities are a necessity and a massive boone for the environment. There are 8 billion people on this planet, imagine the harm that would come from making all of them own 50 acres of land and have to drive a car no matter where they live
