The FRA just released the full list of CRISI grants for Rail safety improvements, let's cover the some of the ones related to passenger rail.
First California High-speed Rail has received 200 million for 6 grade separation projects
SMART in Sonoma County has received 31 million for the replacement of diesel locomotives with low emission locomotives as well as building out grade separation projects to access more rural parts of the county
The NEC is receiving 8 million for fencing around tracks to increase safety
Brightline has received 1 million to design an anti trespassing software to increase safety
1 million is going to grade separation on the new amtrak line Gulf Coast line
Maryland has received about 8 million to connect the Camden and Penn Lines on MARC and help to build the Baltimore Penn Redesign
