Oh yeah nah that’s how it happened. In our hubris we dug too deep and found beasts of fire and iron, you know how it is.
We have to excavate new trains every few years, it’s a time consuming process

Me when I see the insufficient widespread available passenger rail infrastructure in the United States due to decades of domination and subsidization of car infrastructure as an extension of rampant capitalism and systemic racism since the early 20th century:
They are so right, the unavailability of passenger rail is directly tied to Capitalism, Government inaction, and racism
@amtrak-official you have to understand that all airports exist in evil chicago except for the one in columbus, ohio but thats only because my time there was quite lovely

I was booking a flight to Ireland for our honeymoon and it's way cheaper to fly from Seattle than from Portland so now I have to take Amtrak to Seattle before flying a ton. I think this was orchestrated personally by @amtrak-official
