The Staten Island Railroad in the worst borough of New York is also getting new Trains
Test Post
How the fuck does New York do transit so well then fuck up the transit map this fucking badly. They stylised it in a way that is different from the terrain which is fine, but they they did what ever the fuck this is with that stylised map by attaching the subway map in a way that makes your eyes want to bleed

Hello! In your opinion, what city in the US would be the best to live in, in terms of public transportation? Of your knowledge of public transportation abroad, which country is the best?
Unsuprising, New York and Chicago have the best public transit systems, DC ranks pretty well, San Francisco is pretty good, but Muni metro needs some improvements, LA and Philadelphia have a decent ones, but still needs a lot of work and better service in some regions, Seattle is getting there but still needs a bit of work. But any of those cities you could live happily without a vehicle depending on what neighborhood you live in. And all of these do still need work and are not anywhere near perfection.
I have news about Texas, The Auto Train, and CTrail
First up, Amtrak has begun a partnership with Texas Central to further explore the Dallas Houston line, (and save that failed project from collapse)
Next up, The Auto Train is having a sale on tickets, tickets between Florida to "DC" is now $40 till August 18th
And finally, Ctrail has Awarded Alstom a 315 million dollar contract to build 60 new train coaches for fleet modernization. Let's hope it goes faster than the new Acelas
Also The MTA is creating an app to help with ticket purchases, trip planning and service alerts for the subway, buses, Long Island Rail Road, Metro-North Railroad, PATH and AirTrain. It will also show elevator and escalator outages, and the current crowds on trains. It is currently in beta testing.
What is the best NYC transit project, and yes I am judging you

Just looked at the map for the nyc light rail, https://new.mta.info/project/interborough-express
And it goes to both ends of the M train, turning a U into an O, i just think thats funny
I mean, O is a far better shape

I know you focus on the big trains, but theres news in a little(big) train system! Nyc is getting a brooklyn/queens line! All the trains go to and from manhatten, so its a long ass ride, but theyre using the bones of an old line to make a new one! (After its done, theyll connect it to the bronx!) Its not gonna be a subway, jts gonna be a NEW RAIL
IBX, is so fucking exciting I wish it was all heavy rail, but I still love the project
It could be worse, I could be the New York Subway
