There are plans to build tunnels but currently neither are actually under construction, so the train will remain by the coast for the time being
I have decided for the good of humanity to reroute the Pacific surfline to go around LA and no longer stop in LA or Orange Counties, we could use a bridge or some shit. I haven’t thought of it yet, I bring my idea to the higher ups tomorrow
Anyways if Hurricane Hillary shuts down the Surfliner permanently like Katrina did for the Sunset Limited, I just might kill the California state legislature after the hurricane. It is one of the most important routes and needs to stay open. It can be rerouted inland instead of staying on the Ocean bluffs.

This will be over 1000 dollars but the route is California Zephyr -> coast starlight -> pacific Surfliner. It should be comfortable though
Pacific Surfliner will fully reopen on July 17th. No more bus between Oceanside and Irving
