Okay, nobody else is going to say it so I have to but bad media is allowed to exist. The fact people make bad media using public domain characters does not invalidate the public domain. If you are actually arguing that we should extend copyright indefinitely because horror projects have been announced for Mickey mouse, You are actively doing the work of Media Empires for them. You are trying to stifle your own ability to create to stop one singular piece of bad media from existing that you don’t even have to interact with. The ability to create using the characters that have shaped our culture is infinitly more importantt than the brand identity of Disney or Warner or Paramount. Just let Bad Media exist and create your own good media
