about a year ago I heard a congressperson from Ohio talking about the possibility of international rail lines up to Canada using money from the inflation reduction act...thoughts on the feasibility/desirability/likelihood of this? I am so curious yet have no context or expertise
We actually have 3 lines into Canada, but the kinds of lines you are talking about would be the proposed Amtrak line on the Corridor which would be funded via the Infrastructure Bill not the IRA. It is a feasible project, but I feel other lines are more needed for the Amtrak system like the Floridian
